Participatory and Responsible Approach
We manage social impacts together through transparent and participatory practices that address community needs.
As TP-OTC, we consider the principles of environmental, economic, and social sustainability as a whole in all our activities aimed at meeting Türkiye's energy needs.
At the heart of this approach lies an inclusive and responsible development approach that supports social welfare.
In this regard, social impact management is considered as a strategic priority of our sustainability policy.
Identifying affected parties throughout the project life cycle, conducting meaningful and continuous consultation processes, establishing effective complaint mechanisms and measuring performance with monitoring indicators constitute the basic components of social impact management.
TP-OTC considers social impacts not only as risks to be managed but also as opportunities to co-create value with communities.
In this context:
Programs such as livelihood plans, training, and equipment support are implemented for local communities affected by fishing activities.
Social investment projects are being implemented in areas such as women's participation in production processes and youth skill development.
Social impact performance indicators are regularly monitored, and transparent reporting is provided.
TP-OTC's approach to social sustainability is shaped by the principles of participation, accountability, and continuous improvement.
In this regard, open communication channels are established with all stakeholders in the field, corporate responsibility is continuously improved through complaint mechanisms (GRM/WGRM), stakeholder engagement plans (SEP) and annual progress reports.
Managing social impacts is not only an operational obligation for TP-OTC, but also a fundamental expression of its corporate ethics, sustainable development vision, and responsibility to society.
